The petition statement:
We, the undersigned, who are friends of Vrindavan and lovers of Braj culture, who are concerned about the ecological protection of Braj Mandal and the rest of the world, who want the whole world to be able to come to Vrindavan and to enhance their spiritual life by seeing the unique features of Braj Mandal, submit the following to all authorities of the Indian administration: His Excellency the President, the Honorable Prime Minister, the Honorable Chief Minister and administration of the Uttar Pradesh Government:
We request the status of World Heritage Site for the sacred city of Vrindavan. Even better than that, we would hope it could be extended to the whole Braj Mandal. This would help establish protective measures for the heritage of this unique region, considered by devotees of Krishna to be the spiritual world on earth. With your support for this petition, we can show UNESCO how many people in the world are eager for the welfare and carefully monitor the development of this sanctuary.
